精品SM在线影片 workshops help parents understand new online tests
March 19, 2014 (Sacramento): Students across California are getting ready to participate in a trial run of the state鈥檚 new online assessment program which will eventually replace paper-and-pencil testing.
The new Smarter Balanced Assessments will be field tested in 精品SM在线影片 schools beginning April 7. To help parents learn about the new tests, 精品SM在线影片 is sponsoring a series of parent workshops that focus on the assessments and the learning standards to which they are tied.
精品SM在线影片 trustees set meeting to discuss superintendent search
March 11, 2014 (Sacramento): Sacramento City Unified School District鈥檚 Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday (March 13) to discuss the search for a new superintendent to replace Jonathan Raymond, who resigned in December.
The Board will meet at 5 p.m. with representatives of the executive search firm Leadership Associates of La Quinta, recently selected to direct the search for a permanent superintendent. The Board is expected to discuss the process for filling the position and create a timeline for meetings to receive public input.

Common Materials for All Grades
鈥淪low Start鈥� & Classroom Orientation
Your teachers will contact you regarding the classroom orientation and the 鈥淪low Start鈥� process for your child鈥檚 program. You will meet the preschool staff, complete a few more forms, and learn about classroom policies. Your child will meet the teachers, tour the classroom and playground, and experience the exciting program while in a small group. This slow start will help to ensure a positive adjustment to preschool for your child.
Home Visits
If you are enrolled in an Early Head Start/Head Start program, the teacher and possibly the teacher aide will schedule a visit with you in your home. This visit will help your child see the connection between home and school. Home visits are scheduled twice a year for children in the center-based program and once a week for children enrolled in the home-based program.
