Universal Gifted Education Screening Process Begins after Winter Break

The first step in the screening process for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) services is a cognitive abilities assessment administered to ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ students each January.

In the 23-24 school year, all* students in grades 1 and 3 were screened for potential GATE services.

Sacramento City Unified School District History

Overview

Sac City Unified was established in 1854, making it one of the oldest school districts in the West. It is also the 11th largest school district in California today with 81 public K-12 schools, including 15 dependent and independent charter schools.

Central Kitchen

Overview

The Central Kitchen is ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s Nutrition Services Department. The Central Kitchen’s mission is to serve every student, regardless of income, freshly prepared meals while at school. We are committed to offering local, seasonal produce and opening a student’s world to delicious and nutritious meals. 

The Central Kitchen started providing scratch-made meals during the 2022-2023 school year, and continues to work towards expanding meal options for students.
