Matsuyama is a California Distinguished School located in the Pocket Greenhaven neighborhood. The school prides itself as being a high achieveing school that serves a very diverse student population. John Cabrillo is a small neighborhood elementary school rich in diversity that provides a safe, nurturing environment through a partnership with family and community. We are a Leader in Me school that supports both academic and social-emotional growth. Our school provides many after-school and enrichment opportunities including an excellent sports program.

The Bidwell school community is united in the academic and social success of our diverse learners. Bidwell students are collaborative and independent problem solvers; who are intrinsically motivated to reach high academic expectations, make positive impacts on others and affect positive social change in their community and the world.
