Sacramento, CA – Sacramento City Unified School District (¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ) announced today that all upcoming ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ hosted COVID-19 vaccination clinics will now serve all community members ages 5 and up. Ages 5 to 11 are now eligible to receive Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine through the emergency use authorization from the United States Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Sacramento, CA – Sacramento City Unified School District today announced the status of its response to 24 cases at New Joseph Bonnheim Charter School since its reopening on Aug. 9. While Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) initially recommended a school closure, SCPH reversed its initial recommendation after further evaluation and consultation of the district’s capability to quickly respond with testing and staffing to provide tests to all students and staff.

Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento City Unified School District oversees New Joseph Bonnheim, a dependent charter school that began in-person instruction on August 9, 2021, and is located in an area with high COVID transmission rates. The order to provide COVID tests for students came in a letter from Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) today after 23 cases were discovered on the campus. According to SCPH, it appears more likely that transmission is occurring outside of the school campus.
