We have collected some of the very best, free online learning options and we hope these will support our students to continue their learning at home.
Our students can also access our district’s to use additional educational resources. This is also a great time for students to do independent reading.
2023-24 GATE Services Identification Results & Placement
GATE Services Status and Notification Process
GATE screening results and screening assessment scores will be mailed to all families in grades 1 & 3. Student need for GATE services is determined through a multi-step process that includes not only the CogAT results, but also academic factors and social-emotional considerations.
Middle School Academic Services
Advanced Classes
To provide equitable access to advanced courses, each spring, ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ universally screens 6th grade students for advanced course placement in middle school. Advanced courses are available in math, science, language arts and history/social studies starting in 7th grade. All students have the opportunity to qualify for any or all advanced courses, through district-wide placement criteria.
Screening by Request for Gifted Education Services
Grades 2 and 4-6
Families Residing within ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Boundaries
Students not yet identified for GATE Services in ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ may be referred for re-screening by either their parents/guardians or current/past teacher. Students eligible for referral include any student who is new to ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ, or is in 2nd grade or grades 4-6.
Students are screened for GATE Services in elementary grades only.
The GATE Department will screen a child no more than 3 times during their educational career.
There must be at least 12-months between screenings.
Parent Participation Preschool Program
Toddler Class - 2 Years Old, Preschool - 3 Years old or older
This is a fee based program run by the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Adult Education Department. Parents work in the classroom in collaboration and guidance of the teacher to help children develop a variety of skills. Parents also learn parenting techniques to use in the classroom and at home.

Credit Recovery Program
The Sacramento City Unified School District is pleased to announce that we will be providing credit recovery for 9-12th grade students this summer.
Our Credit Recovery Program will run from June 30-July 29.
