Apply to a High School Specialty Program
Applications accepted October 30 - November 17
The ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ High School Specialty Program application window officially opens Monday, October 30 and will run through Friday, November 17. This is an opportunity for your student to apply for enrollment in a high school specialty program for the 2024-2025 school year, based on space availability.
2024-25 Kindergarten Enrollment Opens January 16
Enrollment Will Be Online Only: 6 Regional Sites Available for Technology Assistance
Parents/guardians will be able to register their student for kindergarten online starting on January 16, 2024. To be eligible to register for kindergarten for Fall 2024, children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2024. Starting this year, all enrollment applications will be received online only.

The Sacramento City Unified School District (¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ) and United Professional Educators (UPE) have reached an agreement to close out contract reopener negotiations for the completed 2022-2023 school year.
Joint Statement from ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ and Teamsters Regarding Compensation
The Sacramento City Unified School District (¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ), Teamsters Union Local 150, and Teamsters Classified Supervisors (TCS) have reached agreements to close out contract reopener negotiations for the completed 2022-2023 school year for each unit.

and have updated their respective COVID-19 Isolation and Testing Guidance for schools. In accordance with our policy to follow CDPH and Cal Osha guidance, Health Services will be updating the school district guidance and contact tracing advisories for students and staff as of Friday, January 19.

You can help Black and African American students reach their full potential by joining the Black/African American Advisory Board for ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ. Our Board is composed of community members like you who want to make change and improve outcomes for Black and African American youth. The Black/African American Advisory Board meets frequently to discuss and address challenges facing marginalized students in our school system and make recommendations to ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s Board of Education and staff.
Community Input for Secondary World Languages Instructional Materials
Sacramento City Unified is in the process of adopting new instructional materials for secondary World Languages starting with the 2024-25 academic year. Teachers, students, parents/guardians and community members have the opportunity to review and provide input about the instructional materials being considered for adoption, and we welcome your feedback.
