¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Infant/Toddler program offers an enriching environment and high-quality services to families and their infants and toddlers. The program provides comprehensive services and learning experiences that support infant and toddler physical (nutrition and mental health wellness) educational, social-emotional development. Services include early identification of needs, culturally relevant curriculum and assessments, strengthening parent engagement and knowledge in the area of child development and critical milestones.

Overview

Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

The California Department of Education (CDE) adopted the in 2013 and released the draft instructional framework for Science Education.

To prepare for the implementation of the new standards, the district collaborated with SCTA in the spring of 2015 to form a committee and develop a comprehensive three-year NGSS implementation plan.

Head Start/State Wrap Preschool

This is a free program based on family size and income. This option is a combination of Head Start and State Preschool services. Classes are in session 6 1/2 hours, Monday through Thursday and 3 hours and 45 minutes on Friday.

Tdap

Overview

Tdap is a booster vaccine for older children, adolescents, and adults. It safely protects against 3 dangerous diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough (also called pertussis).

Pertussis â€“ also known as whooping cough, is a contagious disease that causes violent coughing fits that make it hard to breathe. It spreads easily when someone with the disease coughs or sneezes. The symptoms can last for months. Whooping cough is particularly dangerous for young babies.
