Early Learning and Care Programs
¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s Early Learning and Care programs provide continuous comprehensive center-based and home-based services to expectant families, infants/toddlers, preschool and school-age children. Children have a natural curiosity and desire to learn so they are engaged in active learning with teachers providing learning experiences based on best practices reflecting how children develop and learn. We believe that a close home/school connection is essential for children to reach their full potential.
Multilingual Literacy
The Sacramento City Unified School District ELD/ELA departments celebrate and amplify the identities of all English Learners. We affirm that the unique needs and identities each student brings to their classrooms are an asset to the school community. We strive to provide equitable access to rigorous instruction and develop a community of responsible learners who are inspired to be curious and feel empowered to direct their own learning and engage with their community.
Induction
for teachers with a preliminary teacher credential
¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s Induction program will provide Participating Teachers individualized, job-embedded support in the first years of their teaching profession so as to increase the efficacy and retention of our new teachers. In doing so, Participating Teachers will also demonstrate progress towards mastery of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession so as to effectively serve our diverse student body, their families and our community.

The heartbeat of this office is high quality learning and teaching that will prepare our students for college and/or career plus are aligned to the educational and organizational goals outlined in District’s Strategic Plan: Putting Children First. We are committed to promoting research-based curriculum, continuous improvement in the design and delivery of intentional instruction, integration of multidimensional formative assessments as well as supporting services that remove the obstacles to learning from pre-school to post-secondary.
