Classified Positions: 10am to 1pm
(Examples: Instructional aide, bus driver, office staff, nutrition services, district administrators, custodians)
Certificated Positions: 2pm to 6pm
(Examples: Teachers, site administrators, district administrators, school nurses, social workers)
State Seal of Civic Engagement Application Deadline 鈥� April 17th
As a reminder, the State Seal of Civic Engagement application deadline is April 17th. To receive the State Seal this year, students will have to complete their applications and have demonstrated all of the following requirements:

April 4, 2024
At the April 4 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board took action to approve a resolution in recognition of Adult Education Week, April 7-13, to highlight the importance of continuous learning beyond formal schooling and the value of education at all stages of life, promoting a culture of lifelong learning. The Board received an update on the District鈥檚 adult education programs.
Nigeria Solar Notebook Project
Students and staff at Miwok Middle School, Leonardo da Vinci K-8, and Washington Elementary worked together this year to support students in Ewatto, Nigeria, with assistance from SMUD, Solar Schoolhouse and WaZoBia Arts.

At the April 18 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board, the Board recognized Vivian Toddy as a Stellar Student. Vivian attends Albert Einstein Middle School where she participates in the GATE program and advanced band. She is very involved in the American Indian community, 精品SM在线影片鈥檚 American Indian Education Program, and is a member of the Native Youth of Sacramento youth group. Vivian is a talented musician and artist and is an accomplished student. Her teachers describe her as an excellent role model for her classmates.

The Sacramento City Unified School District鈥檚 American Indian Education Program will hold its annual public hearing on Monday May 6, 2024 6:30 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Serna Center.
The purpose of this meeting is to gather recommendations for the 2024-2025 Title VI Indian Education Formula grant application.
