Sac City Unified, like all districts in California, receives state funds to operate our schools based on the number of students enrolled in our district, and on the socio-economic status of our students. This formula is called the Local Control Funding Formula, or LCFF. The state LCFF process is the main source of funding for our schools.

At the November 2 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board, the Board approved the appointments of Holly Buckley as Principal of Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions High School, and Dr. Edward Eldridge as Executive Director of 精品SM在线影片鈥檚 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The Board also approved Board Member appointees to serve on the District鈥檚 Community Schools Advisory Committee.
Discontinuation of 精品SM在线影片 Testing Center
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has informed 精品SM在线影片 they are terminating their support and funding for all Community Rapid Testing (鈥淐RT鈥�) at all organizations, including Sacramento City Unified. As a result, effective November 10, 2023, 精品SM在线影片鈥檚 Serna Covid Testing Center clinic will no longer be authorized to perform professional COVID-19 antigen tests using the CDPH Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) waiver.
Joint Statement from 精品SM在线影片 and SEIU Regarding Compensation
The Sacramento City Unified School District (精品SM在线影片) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021 have reached an agreement to close out contract reopener negotiations for the previous 2022-2023 school year.
This historic agreement demonstrates the significant value that 精品SM在线影片 places on retaining and recruiting the finest classified staff to support our students, teachers and facilities. It also ensures that SEIU unit members will be elevated to a salary that is more reflective of their immense value to the District.

November 16, 2023
At the November 16 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board, the Board took action to approve the appointment of Timothy Rocco as the District鈥檚 Chief Information Officer.
The Board recognized Buck Vang, a student in 6th grade at Elder Creek Elementary School, and Naledi Kalaote-Hurt, a 5th grade student at Elder Creek Elementary School, as Stellar Students. Both students are recognized for being dedicated and active learners.
2024-25 Kindergarten Enrollment Opens January 16
Enrollment Will Be Online Only: 6 Regional Sites Available for Technology Assistance
Parents/guardians will be able to register their student for kindergarten online starting on January 16, 2024. To be eligible to register for kindergarten for Fall 2024, children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2024. Starting this year, all enrollment applications will be received online only.

Apply to a High School Specialty Program
Applications accepted October 30 - November 17
The 精品SM在线影片 High School Specialty Program application window officially opens Monday, October 30 and will run through Friday, November 17. This is an opportunity for your student to apply for enrollment in a high school specialty program for the 2024-2025 school year, based on space availability.
